The Community Stitch

Where every moment is a thread in our shared story

Just like the famous Bayeux Tapestry — that incredible 70-meter embroidered masterpiece from 11th-century France — our own community in Lititz is woven together by countless small, precious moments.

From the Zumba classes where we laugh and sweat together, to the community theater productions that bring us to tears, to the home-cooked meals shared at our harvest dinners — every stitch counts.

In Bayeux, they stitched the history of the Norman conquest. Here in Lititz, we stitch our own history — the first time we met, the time we helped a neighbor move, the way we come together when someone needs a hand.

It's in the careful fold of a napkin, the perfectly timed cue in a play, the way we remember each other's birthdays and milestones. These are the threads that hold us together.

So come join me in celebrating the beautiful, messy, wonderful tapestry of our community. Because just like that ancient embroidery, our story is still being written — one stitch at time.
